Construction this Wednesday and Thursday: Limited Library Access

Due to circumstances beyond our control, construction work that was originally planned for off hours (for the library expansion) must be done this Wednesday and Thursday all day. A hole will be cut between the 4th and 5th floors for a stairway.

On Wednesday and Thursday, March 19-20, the Library will not be open for regular business. However, UHD students, faculty, and staff who have a pressing need for print or audiovisual library material on those days can call (713) 221-8186.

Please be aware that research databases are available anywhere with Web access if you are a member of the UHD community. You do not need to come into the Library. The Ask-a-Librarian service will also be available through http://www.uhd.edu/library/ask.html.

In addition, the Academic Computing Lab on 8th floor South will be open 8am to 8pm both Wednesday and Thursday. Also, UH’s Anderson Library is open from 7am to 8:45pm both days. (See http://info.lib.uh.edu/general_information/hours.html for their weekend hours.)

As was already planned, the Library will be closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and will reopen at 7am, Monday, March 24, 2008.

UHD very much regrets having to make this last-minute change in library access.
