Encyclopedia of Bilingual Education

The Encyclopedia of Bilingual Education (Sage Publications, 2008) is now available online as part of the Gale Virtual Reference Library. This encyclopedia covers the theory and practice of bilingual education in the United States from the last half of the 20th century to the present.  Topics include accommodation theory, code switching, costs of bilingual education, dual-language programs, and much more. There are also many entries on influential educators, court cases, and statutes. Look for the Encyclopedia of Bilingual Education on the library's Education Databases page.
