"A Reader's Guide to Econoblogs" in WSJ

Do you wonder what the experts are currently saying about that all-important issue, the economy? Wall Street Journal has the low-down for you.

In last week's article, "A Reader's Guide to Econoblogs," WSJ selected the 25 best blogs on the economy, with 5 more given an honorable mention. They rated each one on originality, geekiness, and readability.

Current UHD students, faculty, and staff can access this article through the link above, because the Library subscribes to the Wall Street Journal database. (The Library also subscribes to the entire historical digital file of the Wall Street Journal, which began in 1889.)

Music Online

We are pleased to announce the addition of Music Online, a database of streaming audio and video, scores, and full-text reference content for dance, classical, jazz, world music, African American music, and American folk music.  This comprehensive resource allows users to cross-search all of our Alexander Street Press music databases (see the “Go to:” drop-down list at the bottom of any page for a complete listing).

Click here to connect to Music Online

Users can create their own “playlists” of themed collections of materials, incorporating any content from Music Online – audio and video recordings, scores, or text – as well as content from other websites.  Playlists can be used as personal favorites lists, class assignments, or in-class teaching resources.  There is also a clip-making tool for isolating a user-defined section of a video, useful for locating a specific scene for study or sharing comments on a particular element or technique.  Clips and playlists can be annotated, edited, and shared.

You can find Music Online on our Music Databases page.
